Grab a coffee, pull up a chair, and let’s catch up for a bit. It feels like just yesterday we were bracing for the last of the frost, and now the summer humidity is in full swing (at least here in Texas it is). If you’re anything like me, your schedule has probably been a whirlwind lately, but I wanted to take a moment to breathe and share what’s been happening in my corner of the world.
This spring has been one of growth—both literally and figuratively. You may or may not know, I’ve decided to try my hand at my very first garden. I’ll be the first to admit: I am learning as I go. There is something incredibly humbling about standing in my greenhouse, trying to figure out which sprout is what (I didn’t think to label anything). It’s been a lesson in patience and simplicity, two things I try to build my life and business around. Some days, the garden looks like a success; other days, I think the local mosquitoes are getting more out of me, than I am my garden. But that’s the beauty of it, isn’t it? It doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

While I’ve been out there tilling the soil and talking to my plants, I haven’t been alone. My “assistant,” Bowser, has been by my side through it all. For those of you who haven’t met him yet, Bowser is our beloved doxie-mix, and he has a personality that is far larger than his frame. He’s been supervising from his yard. Having him there, along with my husband—who many of you know is an Army Veteran—makes even the hottest afternoon feel like a win.

Speaking of my husband, he is truly the “why” behind everything I do. My mission with this business isn’t just about selling a product; it’s about building a future where he can eventually retire and pursue his own passions. Every time I help a customer find that perfect scent that turns their house into a sanctuary, I’m one step closer to that goal. It’s a journey we’re on together, and I’m so grateful for the community that supports us.
When the sun gets a little too intense and I head back inside, I’ve been leaning heavily into my favorite “escapes.” This summer, that has meant a healthy dose of K-dramas and K-pop. If you ever need a recommendation for a show that will make you laugh, cry, and want to eat a five-course Korean meal, I’m your girl! I’ve also had Stray Kids and BTS on high rotation lately. Their energy is just infectious, and it’s the perfect soundtrack for those afternoons when I’m working on orders or planning new ways to serve you all. There’s something so refreshing about finding joy in these little hobbies—whether it’s a fast-paced song or a slow-burn TV series—that helps balance out the “busy” of the everyday.
And let’s talk about that “busy” for a second. I know so many of you are “Oasis-Seekers”. You’re juggling work, family, and a million other responsibilities, and by the time you walk through your front door, you just want to feel a sense of calm and relaxation. I’ve felt that more than ever this season. Between the gardening attempts and keeping up with Bowser, my home has become my ultimate refuge. I’ve been experimenting with some lighter, airier summer scents in my warmers to keep things feeling fresh, even when it’s stifling outside.
One thing I’ve been reflecting on lately is my approach to this business. I’ve always been fiercely anti-spam and anti-hype. I don’t believe in “icky” sales tactics or high-pressure sales tactics. If I say that something could or might sell out, that’s because it has before or similar products have previously sold out. It’s not just a hook. That’s just not me. I want our relationship to be built on authenticity and trust. If a scent isn’t for everyone, I’ll be the first to tell you. My goal is to provide accurate, personalized recommendations because I know how important it is for your home to feel exactly right for you. Whether you’re looking for a Scentsy Solo for your workspace or a classic warmer for your living room, I want it to be a choice you feel good about, not one you felt pressured into.
As we move into the Summer season, I’m also looking forward to some of the fast-paced Limited Time Offers (LTOs) and monthly edits coming our way. I love these because they bring a little extra excitement and variety to our routines, but I promise to always keep my announcements grounded and friendly. I’ll give you the details you need without the fluff, so you can decide if it’s something that fits into your own version of an oasis.

This summer won’t just be about the garden or the music, though. It’s also going to be about generosity—the idea of giving more than I take. I’ve been working on ways to better support my team, offering guidance and resources without micromanaging. Seeing others grow their own business is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. It reminds me that we’re all just people trying to build something better for our families, one step at a time.
I’ve also found a bit of time for reading and even a little video gaming when the house is quiet. It’s all part of that “balance” that keeps life interesting. We aren’t just our jobs or our roles; we are a collection of all these fun, quirky interests that make us who we are. For me, that’s being a storm-chasing, K-pop loving, gardener-in-training who happens to be obsessed with making houses smell amazing.
It’s been so good to just sit and share these updates with you. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget to check in with the people who make this journey possible. I hope your summer is providing you with exactly what you need—whether that’s a season of high-energy adventures or a quiet time of reflection and rest.
I’d love to hear from you now—what has your summer looked like so far? Are you trying anything new, like a first garden of your own, or are you sticking to your tried-and-true favorite ways to relax? Drop a comment or send me a message; I genuinely want to know what’s been happening in your world!
P.S. If your home is feeling a little less like an oasis and a little more like a “to-do list,” I’d love to help you find a scent that brings back that sense of calm. You can check out Scentsy’s latest summer favorites right here.
